Tehran, Oct 4, IRNA � Iranian and Iraqi nations will conquer their enemies, Head of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Ali-Akbar Velayati said on Monday.


He made the remarks in a meeting with Iraqi Ambassador to Iran Rajeh Al-Mousavi.

Referring to the historical and cultural commonalities between Iranian and Iraqi nations, the official noted that enemies are trying to damage deep ties between Iran and Iraq.

Iranian and Iraqi nations will overcome their enemies, Velayati added.

The Iraqi envoy for his part said that if Iran had not helped Iraq against Daesh, the terrorists would have seized not only Iraq but also the whole region.
