September 25, The Iran Project - ?Director General of the Armenian-language newspaper Alik says Iran has long been the cradle of the peaceful coexistence of religions.
Speaking to a reporter on Sunday, Albert Ajemian stressed the importance of media's role in informing the people and directing the public opinion.
Pointing to the media's ability to show the difference between truth and untruth to people, he said if the media indicate that the ISIS Islam is false, the true Islam won't be confused with the false Islam.
He went on to say that of course many media, being supported by the ISIS, are trying to distort public opinion.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he urged the media to show the world that how well Iranian people and government have treated religious minorities.
Members of the world's Armenians' delegation, composed of 25 Armenian journalist from Armenia, the US, Canada, Syria, Lebanon, Czech and France, visited Tehran on Wednesday.
They met the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Bahram Ghasemi and discussed issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Ghasemi elaborated on the latest political developments in the region and stressed the importance of expanding the media cooperation between Iran and the Armenian communities.
