Albania, Sweden to buy Iranian petrochemicals

TEHRAN, Sep. 21 (MNA) An official has announced that Albania and Sweden have become new customers of certain Iranian petrochemical products.


By the end of the previous Iranian year, China enjoyed a 50-percent share of Irans petrochemical and polymer exportswhile removal of sanctions attracted European countries to the Iranian market.

Meanwhile, some officials have outlinedlack of cooperation by European banks as the biggest obstacle Irans petrochemical exports to Europe emphasizing that aportion of sales are currently being carried out by Intermediary firms.

Countries like Albania, Sweden and Greece mark new customers of Iranian petrochemical products in the post-JCPOA era.With reduction of the volume of exports to China, these European states are finding a place in the target market of Iranian petrochemicals.

On the other hand, in addition to the Eastern Bloc Countries, Iran has deployed two urea shipments to Brazil in order to turn South America into yet a new destination for Irans petchem products.

Commercial Manager of Karoon Petrochemical Company Kazem Bastakian has stated that the first shipment of the company will be loaded and exported to Italy; the first cargo of toluene diisocyanate (TDI) will be shipped to the European country which is a positive outcome of Iran's nuclear agreement, he underscored.

Karoon Petrochemical Company exports to 18 countries, including Greece, Albania, Russia and Sweden," said Bastakian adding that some companies started placing orders after the removal of international economic sanctions in January.
