New York, Sept 21, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani has welcomed the investments by Norwegian companies in Iranian economic sectors including the country's energy sector.
In a meeting with the Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg on Wednesday local time on the sidelines of the 71st United Nations General Assembly meeting, the Iranian President stressed the need for a new trend of ties to be established between Iran and Oslo in the post-JCPOA era.
He said the nuclear agreement provided a new chance to remove shortcomings in bilateral relations caused by the unfair sanctions.
He welcomed any investment ventures by Norwegian companies in Iran’s economic sectors especially in the area of energy.

Noting that regional problems could be addressed only through political channels, Rouhani underlined that any political consensus would lead to ultimate and rapid defeat of terrorists.
