Havana, Sept 20, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani has been officially welcomed by Cuban President Raul Castro at Havana's Revolution Plaza.

The official welcome ceremony for the Iranian President took place on Monday afternoon local time and after the national anthems of the two countries were performed, President Rouhani and his Cuban counterpart took time to introduce to each other their accompanying high-ranking delegations.

Rouhani and Castro started their negotiations soon after the welcome ceremony.

On President Rouhani's itinerary in his visit of the Caribbean Island are meeting with Fidel Castro Leader of the Cuban Revolution, an array of high-ranking joint meetings and signing cooperation documents.
