TEHRAN, Sept 05 (Shana) � Deputy Minister of Petroleum Mohammad-Reza Moqaddam says Ministry of Petroleum fully supports the home-made products.

Talking to reporters after a visit to factories affiliated to the�Petroleum Equipment Industries Company�on Monday morning, Moqaddam said Ministry of Petroleum is busy with a project to indigenize manufacture of 10 groups of goods and maximum use of the capacity of domestic oil equipment manufacturers.

He said about 20 years ago, Iranian manufacturers were not capable of manufacturing many oil industry equipment and the country placed orders with foreigners for the products but now the country is capable of producing them and has reached a logical position in that regard.

He noted that it is a source of honor that Iranian manufacturers are capable of producing items that are both qualitatively and quantitatively competitive with the foreign items.
