TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (MNA) An MoU on joint medical cooperation has been signed by Irans health minister and Finlands minister of family affairs and social services.
The agreement was sealed on Tuesday evening by the Iranian Health Minister Hassan Hashemi and Finlands Minister of Family Affairs and Social Services Juha Rehula while it comprises seven clauses in line with expanding bilateral cooperation in various areas of health, medicine, pharmacy and research aiming to strengthen and support mutual efforts to achieve highest international standards.
Under the terms of the newly-signed agreement, Iran and Finland will collaborate in numerous arenas including health and hospital services, health promotion and disease prevention, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, health products, cosmetics, food and nutrition, medical research as well as boosting capabilities of health workers.
Leading a delegation, the Iranian Minister of Health Hashemi left Tehran for Finnish capital of Helsinki aiming to escalate bilateral relations.
The Iranian delegation is also slated to make visits to Finlands National Institute for Health and Welfare, Docrates Cancer Center, Helsinki University Hospotial (HUH), Finlands Institute for Molecular Medicine (FIMM), as well as Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
