Santa Cruz, Aug 26, IRNA Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca has awarded visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif the highest state medal of Bolivia.
Choquehuanca presented the state medal to Zarif, following the speech by Iranian foreign minister's speech in the Iran-Bolivia economic forum on Friday local time.
Iran and Bolivia economic forum kicked off Friday morning local time with the presence of Zarif and Choquehuanca.
200 Iranian and Bolivian businessmwen and entrepreneurs were presented in the forum.
Before attending the Iran-Bolivia forum, Zarif met with Bolivian President Evo Morales.
Iranian and Bolivian space agencies are scheduled to sign a cooperation document in the presence of two countries' foreign ministers.
Zarif, heading a 120-member delegation is on a six-nation tour of Latin America in a bid to broaden economic cooperation between Iran and the states in the region.
The Iranian foreign minister was in Cuba on Monday and travelled to Nicaragua on Tuesday.
Following Ecuador, Zarif visited Chile and now is in Bolivia. Venezuela is the last leg of Zarif tour of Latin America.
