Quito, Aug 25, IRNA Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa on Wednesday and they discussed ways of boosting regional and international cooperation between the two countries.
During their meeting, Zarif and Correa explored ways of enhancing all-out ties between Tehran and Quito particularly in the fields of oil and energy, banking, shipping and agriculture.
Zarif, heading a 120-member delegation is on a six-nation tour of Latin America in a bid to broaden economic cooperation between the Islamic Republic and countries in the region.
The Iranian foreign minister was in Cuba on Monday and travelled to Nicaragua on Tuesday.
Following Ecuador, Zarif will visit Chile, Bolivia and Venezuela later this week.
