Shahdaie: LNG projects to be entrusted to petchem facilities

TEHRAN, Aug 10 (Shana) Deputy Minister of Petroleum for Petrochemical Affairs Marzieh Shahdaie said on Wednesday that talks have been held to entrust the LNG projects to petrochemical companies and the bids are in their final states.

Shahdaie told Shana that since the LNG products are the feedstock of the petrochemical companies, the Ministry of Petroleum decided to privatize the executive size of the projects.

She said that to this end, the LNG facilities' management will be entrusted to such companies as Bandar Imam, Maroon and Amir Kabir and the companies, being in liquid feedstock shortage, will work on the projects.

Director of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) Ali-Reza Dabiri said cooperation had begun with the Bou Ali Sina Petrochemical Plant and based on the contract, the Plant will undertake commercial services and financing of the project for installation and operation of the Expansionary turbines of the 900 and 1000 factories.
