Amir-Abdollahian: Parliaments must discharge duty to fight terrorism

Tehran, July 24, IRNA Special advisor to Majlis Speaker for international affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday that the parliaments of states including the parliaments of Islamic states and the European Parliament must discharge their duty to fight terrorism.

He condemned the terrorist crimes in Kabul and Baghdad, saying that all world capacities should be utilized to assure that the terrorists are at the end of the road and will have no place in future.

He criticized certain governments in the region for strategic mistakes about whether or not terrorism may serve their interest in short term.

He said that the trans-regional players misuse of violence and terrorism are serious obstacle to the international peace and security.

All countries should use all their capacities in parliamentary diplomacy, public diplomacy and official one to help restore international peace, stability and tranquility of nations.

Amir-Abdollahian made it clear that Tehran and Moscow will continue with cooperation in international campaign against terrorism and helping the Syrian government crack down on terrorists.
