TEHRAN, July 24 (SHANA) � Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh on Sunday hoped that Iran�s oil sales to Sri Lanka will resume as it used to export 40,000 bpd oil to the country prior to sanctions.

Speaking to Sri Lanka's Minister of Petroleum Resources Development Chandima Weerakkody on Sunday, Zanganeh hoped that after the Sri Lankan minister�s visit to Iran and talks, there will be an agreement for Iran�s crude exports.

He said in talks about Sri Lanka�s need to LPG there are issues at world which should be solved.

He pointed to Sri Lanka�s oil debt to Iran to the tune of 251 million dollars and said regarding implementation of the JCPOA, the ways of debt payoff should be clarified.

He said since debt settlement was stopped due to sanctions, the issue will be discussed in talks with the Sri Lankan party, hoping to reach a result.

On Iran�s resumption of crude swap, he said Iran has no problem with oil swap and the companies interested in crude swap can refer to Iran.

The minister said Iran has entered talks with certain companies for swap and Russian, Turkmen and Kazakh companies are highly willing to talk with Iran on crude swap.

On amendment to oil contracts, he said the amendments are over and the document has been sent to government for approval.
