Tehran, July 12, IRNA � Victory in Fallujah is an important step towards complete cleaning up of Iraq from Daesh (ISIS), visiting Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar al-Hakim said on Monday.


He made the remarks in a meeting with the President of the Center for Strategic Research Ali Akbar Velayati.

Al-Hakim voiced hope that the operation for liberation of Mosul would start during this year and within the next four or five months.

Iraq was the only country which could have a strong and fast reaction against Daesh and stroked a heavy blow at them, he added.

The official said that despite diversity in Iraq political atmosphere, there is good understanding between political factions against Daesh.

Daesh is the enemy of world and all the Iraqi people regardless of their religion and ethnic group are against this common enemy, he noted.
