Tehran, July 6, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani hoped on Tuesday that peace, tranquility and security will be restored to the Muslim nations through increasing cooperation and solidarity.

President Rouhani made the remarks in separate messages sent on Tuesday to the heads of Muslim states on advent of Eid-al-Fitr and beginning of the new lunar month of Shawal which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Wednesday is announced as the Eid al-Fitr.

President Rouhani also hoped that Muslim nations will successfully confront any efforts to sow discord among Muslims or present a violent and extremist image of Islam.

He also wished that Muslims would be able to present true image of the Islamic kindness and Islam as a religion of merci.

President Rouhani further prayed for prosperity of all in the Islamic world.
