Presidential Aide: Bahrain's move meant to save Riyadh from quagmire

Tehran, June 20, IRNA -- Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Office for Political Affairs Hamid Aboutalebi underlined that recent developments of Bahrain are deceptive efforts by Saudi regime to get rid of the quagmire of massacre and bloodshed and international condemn.

Aboutalebi's remarks came after Bahrain's Interior Ministry announced in a statement earlier on Monday that the country's top Shiite cleric, Sheikh Isa Qassem, has been stripped of his citizenship.

'Bahrain's developments are a deception for setting free its bigger Arab brother from the quagmire of massacre and bloodshed in the region and also to set itself free from the international condemnation,' Aboutalebi wrote on his Twitter page on social network on Monday.

Deputy chief of staff of the Presidential Office referred to the unwise attempts of Al Khalifa in stripping the citizenship of Sheikh Qassem, and said, 'We should be vigilant because such measures are a trap to provoke violence and ruin relations in the region and we should be aware that nurturing violence will merely benefit the countries that are supporting Daesh (the ISIS).'

Pointing to the fact that humiliation of the noble nation of Bahrain, suppression of their religious and national wills as well as exerting excessive pressure on Bahrain's popular leaders will have no consequence other than destruction of the serious national dialogue and increasing the violence.
