Sarai, June 15, IRNA Greek commercial delegation led by an Iranian expatriate merchant arrived in Mazandaran province to visit the provincial economic capacities.
Head of provincial Chamber of Commerce Abdollah Mohajer said in a meeting with members of the team that the province tops in most of agricultural and livestock products in the country.
He further noted that Mazandaran province bears many resemblances with Greece, which can prepare the ground for boosting ties.
The official said that the provincial administration is ready for cooperation with European states and mutual capabilities can be effective for boosting cooperation.
Head of Greek economic delegation Hossein Lotfi, for his part, said that Greece has good experience in producing herbal medicines, tourism and agricultural products and is prepared to invest in the province in the fields of producing herbal medicines and hotel management.
He noted that Greece has signed a memorandum of understanding with one of the Iranian provinces and it can also do the same with Mazandaran.
Lotfi said that some 30 million tourists visit Greece each year and Mazandran can use the country's experience in the sphere.
He also voiced the economic delegation's willing to invest in hotel construction in Mazandaran.
Production of organic agricultural products can be another area of cooperation between Greece and Mazandaran province, he said.
