Oslo, June 14, IRNA � Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and European Union (EU) foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini met here Tuesday on the sidelines of the Oslo Forum today.


Zarif's deputies Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e Ravanchi and EU deputy foreign policy chief Helga Schmid were present in the meeting.

The today meeting is to focus on Iran-Europe ties and issue of removal of obstacles to way of implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the agreement which Iran and world powers reached in July, 2015.

The Iranian foreign minister is also scheduled to confer Wednesday with his American counterpart John Kerry on US commitments to the JCPOA.
