TEHRAN, June 08 (Shana) -- A new gasoline production unit will become operational at Lavan Refinery within a period of two months to produce Euro-4 petrol, an official said.

Shahrokh Khosravani, deputy managing director of National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company (NIORDC), said the gasoline unit of the refinery will come online by April.

He told Shana that inauguration of a light naphtha isomerization unit of the refinery will become operational by then to produce high-quality gasoline.

Once operational, the unit will bring Lavan Refinery's petrol output from the current 2.1 million liters to 2.8 million liters per day, Khosravani added.
