Tehran, June 6, IRNA � Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in separate messages to the heads of Islamic countries felicitated them on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.


�I call on the heads of the Muslim states to pioneer for making a world free from violence and extremism through collective participation, consensus and solidarity as well as providing a real image of the Islam,� President Rouhani said in his messages.

The Iranian president expressed the hope that in benevolent month of Ramadan, the Muslims could more than before step in the path of fortifying the bonds of brotherhood and spreading calm and security among the Islamic Ummah.

�At this sensitive juncture of the history of Muslims that a violent and wrong image of real Islam is being presented to the world and threatens the civilization and historical heritage as well as our peaceful coexistence with followers of other religions of faith, it is necessary that through collective cooperation, solidarity and consensus to present a real image of Islam which is religion of peace, friendship and brotherhood to all people of the world and become pioneer in making a world free from violence and extremism,� President Rouhani added.

The Iranian president wished success for the heads of Muslim states and the Islamic governments and nations during the holy month of Ramadan.
