Saudi sabotage of Hajj ordered by global arrogance: Sunni cleric

Tehran, June 3, IRNA Saudi attempt to sabotage the Hajj pilgrimage for Iranian pilgrims has been ordered by the global arrogant powers, an Iranian Sunni cleric said on Friday.

Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency, Molavi Ahmad Sheikh Ahmadi Sunni Friday Prayer Leader in the city of Bakharz, said that making obstacles on the way of Iranian pilgrims to attend in this year's Hajj pilgrimage has been dictated to Saudi Arabia by the arrogant powers.

He condemned the Saudi action and called it religiously unlawful and unforgivable.

The cleric from Bakharz, located 220 kilometers south east of the provincial capital Mashad in Razavi Khorasan, said the Saudi regime obeying the commands of its masters, the US and Zionist regime, prevented theIranian pilgrims to attend in the holy ceremony of Hajj pilgrimage.

In the present volatile situation in the region, and while the Islamic World needs unity and solidarity more than ever, the Saudis are sowing discord among Muslims, he noted.

Molavi Ahmad Sheikh Ahmadi said that the Saudi rulers will see the consequence of their actions.

Saudi incompetence during last year's Hajj pilgrimage which resulted in the death of thousands of pilgrims was completed by their latest measures to hold back Iranians from attending Hajj.
