Mahabad, West Azarbaijan, May 31, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani arrived in Mahabad, a city in the northwest of Iran, on Tuesday in his 28th visit to the country's provinces.


Upon arrival, the president was welcomed by senior local officials.

A number of cabinet members are accompanying President Rouhani during his provincial visit.

Rouhani is to address a gathering here within a few hours.

While in Mahabad, President Rouhani is set to inaugurate Mahabad Petrochemical Complex. 341 constructional and economic projects will start during the president's visit.

President Rouhani traveled to Orumiyeh, the capital city of West Azarbaijan on Monday (May 30).
