Tehran, May, 28. The Iran Project-Iranian ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost says Chabahar deal is open to Pakistan and countries of the region, too, describing�regional cooperation as the only solution for solving regional problems.

Speaking in a seminar named "Pakistan-Iran Relations" hosted by Strategic Studies in Islamabad (ISSI), Honardoost stressing the two countries' common interests and concerns including terrorism and drug trafficking, �stated that these issues require to be solved through expansion of bilateral and regional cooperation.

Referring to recently-signed ��Chabahar Agreement� among Iran, Afghanistan and India, the top diplomat said that this deal is not limited only to these three countries, but the doors are always open to all countries of the region, especially Pakistan and China, adding that all countries of the region are welcomed warmly to this regional cooperation.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said, "Iran�s relations with any other countries would have no effect on our especial relation with Pakistan, as Iran�s President Rouhani earlier stressed that friendly relations between Iran and New Delhi is not against the brotherly relationships between Iran and Pakistan.

Also, Masood Khan, Director General of Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad noted that Pakistan needs gas, electricity, oil, steel, petrochemical products� and Iran is the biggest supplier of these requirements, emphasizing�the strategic relations between these two neighboring states.
The Iranian official as weill reiterated that Iran and Pakistan have to upgrade and improve their trade relations and explore new areas for economic partnership.

Iran, India and Afghanistan signed a trilateral agreement known as Chabahar agreement on May, 23 2016 to establish an international corridor between these three states.
