Tehran, May 27, IRNA � Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received the family of top Hezbollah commander Mustafa Badreddine martyred recently in Syria.


During the meeting on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei lauded Badreddine's bravery and courage.

The Leader wished patience for the family of martyred commander and said God exalt him to the highest place.

He referred to the martyrdom of Imad Mughniyah and his son as well as other members of the family and praised them as the 'family of martyrs'.

Despite being a small country from a geographical perspective, thanks to the blood of its martyrs, Lebanon tends to exert an inspiring effect on the whole region, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

He underlined that thanks to the efforts by the Lebanese Hezbollah movement and the resistance elements, Lebanon has become a model country.

There are few lands fostering such pure faithful elements, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

During the meeting, the Leader gave his ring to Ali Badreddine, son of the martyred top commander.

According to the Lebanese Hezbollah statement, artillery rounds on Hezbollah center close to Damascus Airport fired by Takfiri group killed top commander Mustafa Badreddine on May 13.
