Grand cleric urges constructive engagement with world
Tehran, May 20, IRNA - Ayatollah Hossein Vahid Khorasani on Friday urged the government to continue its policy of constructive engagement with the international community.

Iran should use a soft language to talk with the world and it should adopt constructive engagement with the international community, Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani said during his meeting with President Hassan Rouhani.

The cleric urged the government to do its best to address the countries problems including unemployment.

During his trip to the holy city of Qom on Friday, President Rouhani also visited other senior clerics.

The President, who arrived in Qom earlier in the day, in separate meetings, was received by Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpayegani, Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shiraz, Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, Ayatollah Seyyed Abdul Karim Mousavi Ardebili, Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini Alavi Gorgani and Ayatollah Ja'far Sobhani.

President Rouhani visited the holy shrine of Fatima Al Masumeh (SA), too.

Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, Presidential Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian, Vice-President for Parliamentary Affairs Majid Ansari and Vice-President for Executive Affairs Mohammad Shariatmadari, as well as Hesameddin Ashena, a media advisor to the President were accompanying President Rouhani in his visit to Qom.
