Iran participating in Int'l Montenegro Book Fair

Belgrade, May 10, IRNA International Montenegro Book Fair opened in Podgorica on Tuesday in presence of the Iranian publishers.


Montenegro Education Minister Predrag Boskovic told the inaugural ceremony that holding the exhibition will help strengthen ties with foreign countries.

He expressed pleasure with undertaking administration of the book fair, saying that his ministry is one of the organizers of the current book fair.

Iran's Cultural Attache in Belgrade Mahmoud Shalouei told IRNA in Belgrade that pavilion of Iran Cultural Office in the book fair is operating in the event with over 100 books translated into Serbian language.

According to him, the books on display include Serbian versions of Divan Hafez, Molavi's Masnavi Ma'navai, Saadi's Boustan, Attar Neishabouri's Manteq al-Teir.

Iran is attending the event to deepen cultural ties between the two countries, he said.

International Montenegro Book Fair opened in Podgorica on Tuesday and will work until May 15.
