Tehran, May 10, IRNA - Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi said here on Tuesday that the negotiations are underway for heavy water sale to US.

Speaking in a gathering, Salehi reiterated that following the US administration move for seizing 2-billion-dollar worth of Irans assets, the Islamic Republic is taking precautionary measures for selling its heavy water to the US.

'We are negotiating with US on heavy water sale and the payment method should be clarified,' Salehi added.

Salehi also reiterated that the AEOI attached very great importance to the country's health sector, adding the organization would establish a medical nuclear hospital fully equipped with the state-of-art technologies in the next four or five years.

Pointing to his recent trips to the European countries, Salehi added he had held negotiations with the Czech experts on fostering nuclear cooperation last week.

Pointing to the Czech Republic's valuable experiences in nuclear industry, he added Iran is negotiating with this European country on constructing new power plants.

On May 2, Salehi and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka in a meeting discussed cooperation on nuclear safety.

He added that execution of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action has prepared the ground for closer ties between Tehran and the world.
