Italian academic teams due in Iran

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Deputy Minister of Science for International Affairs Hossein Salar-Amoli said two Italian academic delegations are visiting Iran next week to discuss the further expansion of cooperation between universities of the two sides.

Iran and Italy are also going to sign agreements as well, he said.

The delegations involve university professors of Polytechnic University of Milan and Sapienza University of Rome.

Members of the first academic delegation are staying in Tehran from May 20-27 and have called for visiting universities of Tehran, Sharif Poly Technique University, University of Science and Technology, Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology (KNTU), Tarbiat Modarres University and ministries of energy and road and urban development.

The second delegation is in Iran on May 23 to 27 whose member are working in history, human sciences and social sciences.

The team is going to visit Tehran University, Shahid Beheshti University, Sharif Poly Technique University, Amir Kabir Poly Technique University and the research center of cultural heritage and tourism of Iran.
