300 Armenian books on display in Tehran Book Fair

Tehran, May 7, IRNA- About 300 books on Armenian culture and art have been displayed for the first time in Tehran International Book Fair this year which started its work on May 4 and will continue for 11 days.



Director of the Armenian stall in the 29th Tehran International Book Fair Armen Sarkesian said that Yerevan has decided for the first time to take part in this years book fair in Tehran as Armenians are to celebrate the 25th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Armenia this year.

August 23, marks the day when the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Armenia was adopted in 1990.

Sarkesian added that the displayed books are in the fields of painting, novels, pictures and traditional and modern carpet designs.

A large number of domestic and foreign books are on display in Tehran International Book Fair.

The major cultural event has chosen 'Tomorrow Is Too Late to Read' as its motto this year.
