TEHRAN, May 07 (Shana) A senior Iranian oil official says self-sufficiency of petroleum industry is fast-growing in the country in Iran.
Speaking on the sidelines of the 21st Iran International Exhibition of Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals, Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Roknoddin Javadi said implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has provided the grounds for the presence of foreign firms in a ban-free Iran.
The number of foreign exhibiting companies at Iran Oil Show has risen at least 64% in comparison with the fairs previous edition, he said, adding that the number of foreign pavilions have also raised by 90% in the current edition of the showcase.
Javadi hailed Iranian exhibitors for presenting their latest achievements in the fair, saying, Today Iran is different from its past and the petroleum industrys policies are homed in on supporting domestic industries.
The 21st Iran International Exhibition of Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals will run through May 8 at Tehrans permanent fairgrounds. Nearly 2,000 exhibiting companies from 38 countries have put their latest oil and gas achievements on public display at the showcase.
