TEHRAN, May 07 (MNA) � The senior aid to the Leader Ali Akbar Velayati said Iran has made use of all its capacity to counter terrorism with any orientation and regardless of ridiculous division of terrorists to extremist and moderate.


Head of Strategic Research Center�Ali Akbar Velayati who arrived in Damascus on Friday, met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Saturday and exchanged views on regional issues and cooperation in all-out fields.

Welcoming Velayati, President Bashar al-Assad expressed gratitude to the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Iranian nation and government for�supporting�the Syrian government and people.

Pointing to the Imposed War against Iran, Syrian president praised Iran�s stability and resistance during the war Saddam Hussain ignited against Iranian innocent nation, with the support of many other countries, which led to the victory of Iranian nation.

Noting that the Leader, government and people of Iran have used all possible means to combat terrorists, extremists and takfiris, Assad said �we hope to win the unjust war soon.�

Velayati called the mighty defense of Syrian government and the nation unprecedented in history, and one which faces ups and downs, but is growing to lead to the final victory.

Pointing to the latest developments, Velayati�said the Islamic Republic of Iran has made use of all its capacity and potential to fight against terrorists with any orientation and regardless of ridiculous division of extremist and moderate terrorists.
