TEHRAN, Apr. 14 (MNA) Iranian First Vice-President Eshagh Jahangiri voiced hope that following the completion of under-construction projects, Iran would be the No.1 producer and exporter of petrochemical products in the world.
Currently there are 75$ billion projects and plants of petrochemical industry under construction which are hoped to put Iran at the top of the industry after being tapped, said Eshagh Jahangirion the opening ceremony of the 10th edition of the Iran Plast Fairon Wednesday.
Jahangiri boasted that in a region ravaged by war and insecurity, Iran is the center of stability and peace, while the economy of Iran is challenged with unemployment, welfare, and development.
Having natural resources like gas and oil, as attractions of investment in Iran, we are the only nation in the world who are able to overcome the challenges and, as the domestic capacity is high, we are expected to plan in a way to be the center of development in the world, reiterated Mr. Jahangiri.
He then referred to the public opinion toward countrys problems and said that the community has accepted that the first priority of the country is economy, and fortunately the Resistance Economy is accepted by the majority of Iranians.
"The new paradigm of economy, the Resistance Economy, is extrovert," said Jahangiri and highlighted "the petrochemical industry of Iran exported a total of products worth 10$ billion over the last Iranian year, and we hope that following the plans the volume increases by the end of the current year."
The tenth edition of the Iran Plast fair which was opened on Wednesday will run through April 17 in Tehran while the last edition of the expo in 2014 attracted 68,000 visitors and 800 exhibiting companies, including 250 from outside Iran.
