Iran to unveil nuclear fuel, laser achievements: Spokesman

Tehran, April 5, IRNA Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said new accomplishments in the fields of nuclear fuel, laser, power plant, and health will be unveiled on Thursday.

In a television program on Monday night, Behruz Kamalvandi said that introducing the achievements includes launching a new activity in one of nuclear facilities to mark the National Day of Nuclear Technology in Iran.

The day falls on Friday which is a public holiday in Iran and will be commemorated one day earlier on Thursday.
'The day's ceremonies will be observed with the participation of top-ranking officials, dignitaries as well as elites during which the activity report on the various areas of the nuclear industry will be presented,' he added.

Earlier in the day, AEOI's Public Diplomacy and Information Directorate General issued a statement in which it corrected the report in a local daily about a uranium mine in Iran.
Saying that the report was contrary to reality, it announced that the mine's activities are underway according to planned programs.

'Feedstock for the processing plant using mineral ores has been bunkered for couple of years,' it said adding that the mine is active with full capacity or under repair.
The statement also rejected exaggerated figures in the publication's report about the price of uranium ore in international markets.
