Jordanians express solidarity with Hezbollah in letter to Iran's leader

Tehran, March 7,The Iran Project Along with the widespread objections and protest by public and political groups across the Muslim and Arab world against the Persian Gulf Cooperation Councils (GCC) decision to list the resistance movement of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, number of Jordans people and political factions condemned the move in a letter to Irans Supreme Leader, president Rouhani and the Secretary General of Hezbollah.

Ayatollah Khamanei, Irans Supreme Leader, President Hassan Rouhani and Seyed Hassan Nasrellah the Secretary General of Hezbollah, received a letter penned on behalf of the Jordans various public and political factions in which they deeply criticized the GCC recent accord to label Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, expressing solidarity with the Lebanese resistance movement.

Whoever has assaulted Hezbollah, as a symbol of resistance will undoubtedly offend any noble and decent phenomena in Arab and Muslim world, part of this letter reads, noting the Israeli media which had hailed the GCCs decision as an Israeli achievement.

Iraq, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Yemen, Palestine and Jordan nations hereby declare innocence from the blame of such disgraceful positions against the resistance movement," the letter said elsewhere.

Number of other Muslim and Arab figures also denounced the decision, warning about its outcomes for the Muslim nations.

Earlier, Major General Hassan Firouzabadi, Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces, had called the councils measure as a strategic mistake, saying that the Lebanese force has been the main cause for honor and reputation of Muslims in past years.
