TEHRAN, March 2 (Shana) � Director of commerce in the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) said that the firm�s vessels will sail into Europe�s waters in coming months adding that it has held numerous rounds of talks with major oil companies in Tehran.

Nasrollah Sardashti made the statement in his speech at the Marine Money conference in Hamburg, Germany and said that NITC is only few months away from leasing its tankers to major oil companies.

�NITC is in negotiations with global insurers to obtain necessary coverage. IACS institutions are ready to cooperate with the Iranian tanker's fleet,� he said.

Financiers from China and South Korea have expressed their readiness to support NITC, Sardashti said, adding that attracting the support of European firms is difficult for shipping companies.
