Austrian FM hails results of Iranian elections

Tehran, Feb 29, IRNA Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz hailed results of Iranian parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections, held on Friday.

He made the remarks in a message, released in his tweeter on Sunday.

Kurz voiced hope that the elections lead to boost Iran's 'constructive' role in the region.

He said that the results of Iranian elections were 'encouraging', adding that it shows the effect of diplomacy after Iran deal.

A coalition of candidates supported by the reformists, dubbed the list of hope, is likely to take all of the capitals 30 parliamentary seats, according to the latest tally released by the Interior Ministry. However, it seems that the two camps of reformists and principalists are almost evenly divided for the 290 seats in majlis.

Final results for the Assembly of Experts, which is responsible for appointing the next supreme leader, showed moderate clerics leading the race in Tehran.
