NPC endorses domestic manufacturers: Chief

 

TEHRAN, Feb 29 (Shana) -- Managing Director of Iran's National Petrochemical Company (NPC) voiced her company's interest in employing all potentialities of Iranian manufacturers in a bid to contribute to materialization of the Economy of Resistance.

Shahdaei, who took her new post as NPC chief earlier in February, said the company is bracing for the second leap in Iran's petrochemical industry.

Iran saw its first petrochemical leap in the 60s after huge investments made way to the sector and dozens of petrochemical plants were constructed across the country.

During a visit from petrochemical plants, Shahdaei stressed the need for partnership of Iranian manufacturers in developing the industry in Iran.

"Maximum employment of domestic producers and manufacturers, contractors and advisors as well as transfer of technologies and localization of the latest technical knowhow are the means through which industry can develop," she said.

Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs, expressed hope that Iranian petrochemical firms will be able to reach out for international markets and gain a toehold in them by relying on domestic capabilities.
