Singapore ‘largest buyer’ of Iranian mazut

TEHRAN, Feb. 27 (MNA) – Sale and export of Iran’s mazut has increased by 80 per cent with Singapore as the main customer of the product.
Half of the total 1.2 million tons of Iran’s fuel oil exports in February will be deployed to Singapore.

Meanwhile, Iran exported 760 thousand tons of mazut in January about 100 thousand tons of which was sold to Singapore.

It has been estimated that the other half of Iranian mazut shipment will be sent to Al Fahira market of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Before the sanction years, Iran’s mazut export mounted to 600 thousand tons per months half of which was dispatched to Singapore.

Iran’s average amount of mazut exports to Singapore in 2010 has been evaluated as 270 thousand tons.

Furthermore, five or eight massive tankers will each carry 75 thousand tons of Iranian fuel oil to Singapore.

Accordingly, the country’s mazut export in January 2016 indicates a 81-percent growth compared with the same period last year.
