Tehran, Feb 27, IRNA Iranian filmmaker Narges Abyars acclaimed drama Track 143 will conclude the days of Iranian cinema, which is currently underway at the Multiplex Cinema City in Sarajevo.
Based on a book of the same title written by Abyar, Track 143 is about a great maternal sacrifice during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war. It tells the story of Olfat, a woman who is waiting for her son, who has been missing in action, to return home.
According to Tehran Times, the movie brought Merila Zarei a Crystal Simorgh for best actress at the 32nd Fajr Film Festival in February 2014 for her portrayal of Olfat.
A lineup of Iranian movies, including Today directed by Reza Mirkarimi, The Painting Pool by Maziar Miri, Dont Be Tired co-directed by Afshin Hashemi and Mohsen Qarai, and Azar, Shahdokht Parviz and Others, directed by Bahruz Afkhami, has been screened at the festival.
The festival organized under the auspices of Iranian cultural attachés office in Bosnia opened on February 23.
