Deir Ezzur: ISIL sustains heavy losses in Syrian airstrikes

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian air force pounded the gathering centers of the ISIL terrorists in Deir Ezzur province on Wednesday.

The Syrian fighter jets hit the military positions and gathering centers of the terrorists in the surrounding areas of Deir Ezzur military airport, al-Mura'yeh, Haweija, al-Jafreh, Haweija Saker and Tal Barouk neighborhood.

The Syrian warplanes also pounded the ISIL's military positions in Hosseiniyeh and Jasr al-Moalaq farmlands in Deir Ezzur.

In a relevant development earlier today, the Syrian warplanes, in several air attacks, bombed the ISIL gathering centers in the countryside of Deir Ezzur city, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The ISIL positions near the villages of al-Janineh and small town of Hatleh were heavily targeted by the Syrian fighter jets, which ended in the killing or wounding of many terrorists and destruction of their military hardware.

The ISIL bases in some parts of the districts of al-Haweiqa, al-Roshdiyeh and al-Hamidiyeh, meantime, were stormed by the Syrian air fleet.

Reports said on Tuesday that the Syrian army troops, in a fresh round of attacks, hit the ISIL militants' lines of defense hard in the Southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzur, inflicting more casualties on the terrorists.

Al-Sina'ah region near the city of Deir Ezzur was the scene of fierce clashes between the Syrian soldiers and the ISIL terrorists, which claimed the lives of many Takfiri combatants.

The army also stormed the ISIL command center in the villages of Hatlah, which ended in the destruction of the base and the killing or wounding of several terrorists.
