TEHRAN, Feb. 24 (Shana) � Iran has started production operation for 85,000 barrels of oil a day from the Yadavaran Field jointly held by neighboring Iraq to test its output sustainability, said administrator of the field�s development project.
�The field will be inaugurated in near future as production of 85,000 barrels a day has been secured and all of its three production trains are in line,� Hadi Nazarpour told Shana on Wednesday.
In Phase-I, light and heavy crude will constitute 70,000 barrels and 15,000 barrels of the field�s daily output respectively, he said.
Production will increase to 180,000 barrels in Phase-II and 300,000 barrels in Phase-III, Nazarpour added.
Iran�s Ministry of Petroleum has been focusing on production from Yadavaran, North Azadegan, South Azadegan, North Yaran and South Yaran oil fields, all of which Iran shares with Iraq.
