Iran, Greece ink 3 MoUs to boost cooperation in various fields

TEHRAN (Tasnim) High-ranking officials from Iran and Greece signed three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) as part of efforts to deepen bilateral relations and boost cooperation between the two countries.





The three documents were signed in a ceremony in Tehran on Monday attended by Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and his accompanying delegation.

The MoUs, include a document signed with the aim of boosting political consultations between the two countries foreign ministries, an agreement to abolish visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports and a roadmap agreement to develop Tehran-Athens cooperation.

The Greek premier also held meetings with senior Iranian officials, including President Hassan Rouhani, on Monday.

Heading an economic delegation, Tsipras arrived in the central Iranian city of Isfahan on Sunday as the first destination of his official trip.
