Larijani: Foreign companies keen on making investment in Iran

Tehran, Feb 8, IRNA - Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that removal of sanctions have paved the way for expansion of economic relations with Iran.

Speaking in a gathering in the holy city of Qom late Sunday, Larijani said several foreign countries are keen on making investment in Iran.

He also felicitated the 37th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Pointing to the Saudi officials' plots aimed at declining the price of oil from $110 a barrel to $23 a barrel, he said Riyadh is also creating problems in other countries including Iraq, Syria and Yemen.

Pointing to the regional crisis, he added terrorism has created problems for Iran and all Muslims.

'Thanks to Iran's great potential, foreign countries are keen on making investment in several areas in the Islamic Republic,' he added.

Irans economy has already benefitted from the recent nuclear agreement as the deal has paved the way for new investments by foreign companies in the country.
