60kb/d of oil recoverable by mid-2016

TEHRAN, Jan 31 (Shana) -- South Azadegan oil field is planned to start early production of 60,000b/d of crude oil by mid-2016, a senior petroleum official said.

Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) Abdolreza Haji-Hosseinnejad told a press conference on Saturday that early production from the fields was expected to begin by 30,000b/d by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 20 which was postponed to a later time but with double that amount.
He said the project's production was postponed because of financial reasons, however, the field's development has taken place under the sanctions and despite financial shortages.
He also said the National Development Fund of Iran has been tapped for $800m for developing Azar oilfield and there are no financial difficulties for developing the field.
The PEDEC official said Petropars is in talks with PEDEC for developing a gas field in the Persian Gulf island of Kish.
PEDEC has officially announced it will cooperate with a foreign investor for development of the refinery unit of South Azadegan oil field.
