TEHRAN, Jan. 31 (Shana) Iran has taken final steps to start producing 85,000 barrels of oil a day from the Yadavaran Field jointly held by neighboring Iraq, said administrator of the fields development project.
The fields flare was lit up simultaneous with removal of sanctions (two weeks ago) and all of three production trains are ready for production, Hadi Nazarpour told Shana.
Production will start by Esfand (Feb. 20), he said adding that light crude will constitute 70,000 barrels of the fields daily output.
Irans Ministry of Petroleum has been focusing on production from joint fields including from Yadavaran, North Azadegan, South Azadegan, North Yaran and South Yaran oil fields, all of which Iran shares with Iraq.
