Tehran,January 30, The Iran Project Managing director of Irans Blood Transfusion Organization (IBTO) has said that WHO introduced Iran as a successful model in the production of plasma-derived drugs.
Speaking to a reporter on Saturday, managing director of Irans Blood Transfusion Organization (IBTO) Ali Akbar Pour-Fathollah stated that the World Health Organization (WHO) introduced Iran as a successful model in the production of plasma-derived drugs.
Ali Akbar Pour-Fathollah said according to a report released by the World Health Organization in 2015, more than 3/9 million liters of recycled plasma recovered from blood donationare wasted, announcing that Iran could convert recycled plasma to plasma derived drugs.
Following the removal ofanti-Iransanctions, two large international plasma fractionation centers have declared their readiness to construct two centers in Iran, Iranian official added.
He went on to say that post-sanction era has provided the ground for Irans private sector and international companies to participate in the development of plasma industry.
