President urges collective cooperation for peaceful co-existance in world

Tehran, Jan 26, IRNA President Hassan Rouhani encouraged collective cooperation for helping peaceful co-existance in the world.


He made the remarks in a meeting with the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi on Monday evening.

Private sector is key to opening a new chapter in Iran and Italy relations, Rouhani said.

The president added that Iran is commited to expand its international relations and invites Italian private sector to use the opportunity for returning to Iranian economy.

The message of choosing Italy as the first destination of my trip to Europe is that Tehran is keen to open a new chapter in bilateral ties with Rome, he noted.

President Rouhani referred to Iran's stability and security, educated youth, rich energy resources, high geographical position, connection to international waters and developed transit routes and said Iran supports joint investment, modern technologies and export cooperation.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Rouhani pointed to the massacre of innocent people in the region by the extremist groups and urged collective cooperation for establishment of peace and stability in the world and preparing the ground for peaceful co-existance of all human beings.

Saying that Iran and Italy stance on terrorism are very close, he said that Iran would continue its constructive role for establsishment of peace and stability in the region.

The president said helping establishment of peace and stability in the region and the world are key elements in Iran's policy.

Iran seeks peaceful co-existance with its neighbors and belives that regional crises have no military solutions and they should be resolved through diplomacy, Rouhani added.

During the meeting, the President invited Italian prime minister to pay a visit to Tehran.
