Bandar Abbas, Dec 29, IRNA All the people in the Islamic Republic, Muslim or non Muslim, enjoy the same equal rights, says Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Ali Jannati.
'There are no second-class citizens in the Islamic Republic of Iran and everybody is a first-class citizen,' Jannati said Monday evening, in an address at a conference marking the anniversary birthday of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Jannati said that people participate in the management of the country based on their competence and qualifications.
'The government insists to use all the citizens according to their competence and even the Armenian and the Jewish people can participate in the management of the country as stipulated in the Constitution,' he said.
'This is a policy followed by the government to eliminate the feeling among people that they are rated as second-class citizens,' the minister added.
