Tehran, Dec 27, IRNA Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaber-Ansari said that baseless allegations leveled against Iran by the Arab League are prejudiced, non-constructive, and irrelevant.

'Unfortunately, a few countries that have been criticized by the peoples of the region and the international community as the main suspects of extremism and terrorism are attempting to deviate the world public opinion and Arab nations from their role in destabilizing the region thorough projection tactic and the continued policy of depicting Iran as a threat.'
Jaber-Ansari urged regional government to focus on the key problems of occupation of Palestinian lands by the Zionist regime, upholding the cause of Palestinian nation, and fighting against extremism and terrorism.
'Islamic Republic of Iran is an active, responsible, and stabilizing actor in the regional developments,' he said, adding, 'Despite of unfriendly positions of certain countries, Iran will continue its positive role of reducing crises through the interaction with neighbors and the global community.
