The Friday prayer leader of Mashhad has said anywhere the remnants of the 2009 sedition and their sympathizers are, from municipalities, to ministries, to parliament, the US is making at attempt at infiltration there.

Ayatollah Ahmad Alamolhoda further said it was the dream of rising to power that led the seditionists [a reference to those who contributed to widespread rioting in the wake of the 2009 presidential elections] to unknowingly interact with the US. "Though, it would have been more honorable for them if they had knowingly been signed up as mercenaries of hegemonic powers."He went on to say that Iranians won't allow those who joined the ranks of the enemy during the 2009 sedition and now seek to use the infiltration ploy to deal a blow to the establishment.
