Dozens of Daesh and al-Nusra Front terrorists have reportedly been destroyed across Syria after the country's army launched offensives in the key provinces of Hama, Homs, Damascus, Aleppo, Idlib and Daraa.
The Syrian Army has staged a whole array ofmajor military operations all acrossSyria overthe pasttwenty-four hours, inwhich dozens ofDaesh and al-Nusra Front militants were killed and many more wounded, according tothe Iranian news agency FARS.
In particular, the militants' strongholds were razed inthe key provinces ofHama, Homs, Damascus, Aleppo, Idlib and Daraa.
In Hama, Syrian warplanes, supported byRussian airstrikes, pounded Daesh positions inthe key village ofQteisheh nearAl-Salamiyah. The terrorists reportedly suffered heavy casualties inthese air raids.
In the central province ofHoms, scores ofal-Nusra Front terrorists were killed afterSyrian jets bombed the militants' fortified positions inthe village ofTer Maela and the town ofTalbiseh tothe north ofthe city ofHoms alongthe Damascus-Aleppo Highway.
Heavy clashes betweenthe Syrian forces and the militants took place inDamascus, where the army and the National Defense Forces stormed militant groups' strongholds alongone oftheir main supply routes inthe east ofthe province. Syrian troops finally managed totake full control overthe road, according tosources.
In the northern province ofAleppo, atleast 12 Takfiri militants were killed inthe fighting onWednesday, when the army targeted the terrorists' positions inRasm al-Sahrij and Abad inthe province's southwestern countryside. Additionally, the army destroyed al-Nusra Front terrorists' positions inthe city ofAleppo; the fighting took place inseveral neighborhoods there, including al-Sheikh Lutfi, Hanano, Karm al-Tahhan and al-Jazmati.
In Idlib, a series ofairstrikes was launched bySyrian fighter jets which targeted the militants' strongholds inthe southeast ofthe province. Another major offensive was staged inthe southern city ofDaraa, where the Syrian forces inflicted heavy losses onDaesh terrorists, destroying their positions inthe Aba Zaid and al-Manshia neighborhoods.Adding tothe Syrian army's anti-Daesh effort is Russia's air campaign, which was launched onSeptember 30, when more thanfifty Russian warplanes, including Su-24M, Su-25 and Su-34 warplanes, commenced precision airstrikes onDaesh targets inSyria atthe behest ofPresident Bashar Assad.
